Center Of Excellence

Dr. Follwell is affiliated with two hospitals – St. Alexius and Des Peres. In conjunction with both of these hospitals, our bariatric program is an American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) Center of Excellence.

The ASMBS Center of Excellence designation recognizes bariatric surgical programs that have shown a track record of favorable outcomes in bariatric surgery procedures.

To earn the ASMBS Center of Excellence designation, Dr. Follwell and the hospital programs underwent a series of site inspections during which all aspects of the program's surgical processes were closely examined and data on health outcomes was collected. Surgical Review Corporation (SRC), an organization dedicated to pursuing surgical excellence, formulated and established the rigorous standards to which dr. Follwell is committed.

General Surgery
